Our Initiatives

IPAB Sponsored activities

In collaboration with various ministries, embassies, and business forums, IPAB sponsors a range of activities, including private-public dialogues, seminars, training programmes, roundtable discussions, and policy dialogues.

IPAB launched a significant campaign in 2015, known as “RRBG” (Nokol Rukhbo, Chorachalan Rukhbo, Rajossho Barabo, Desh Gorbo), with the aim of combating IP infringement, counterfeiting, and smuggling. This initiative enhanced public awareness related to IPRs, facilitated legal enforcement, and guided the effective formulation of regulations to ensure robust intellectual property rights protection in the country.

The “a2z” Project

A project ‘a2z’ is a modern business solution that aims to reduce marketing and service costs and enhance human resources with an AI-based digital corporate structure, which contributes to the development of a Modern Bangladesh.

The ‘‘a2z’’ core framework is free to use for both IPAB members and the general public. This online and digital innovation, ‘a2z’ for modern business management, is currently undergoing patent registration for both domestic and foreign markets. Under this framework with modern supply chain management and online facilities help the government meet the SDG targets set out for the private sector.

Women Empowerment

The association, as an ESG and CSR initiative, will encourage women’s empowerment by working on projects with them, especially by obtaining IP registration and providing legal support for women entrepreneurs.

Moreover, IPAB has committed to provide IP registration legal services for all the initiatives under a2i.

Sector-Wise Dialogue

IPAB intends to sit on sector-wise-dialogue, which it has categorised year on year. They lead the FBCCI-IP-wing in association with FBCCI and relevant stakeholders to assist industries regarding IP issues.

The Executive Committee (EC), comprising high-level intellectuals such as business leaders, corporate personalities, lawyers, government representatives, and media personalities, governs the IPAB. The IPAB categorises the business economy into 28 distinct sectors, and our EC’s diverse composition allows them to effectively address issues across these 28 sectors of Bangladesh’s economy.

The “a2z” Modern Business Management Solution

The ‘a2z’ business management solution contains 11 distinct management modules:

the most notable module is ‘Blue Check’. With an online “Blue Check” system, a general public can quickly distinguish between genuine and counterfeit products.

The second module provides modern supply chain management with e-commerce facilities;

the third module offers immediate short-term digital cashless loan (credit) facilities for everyone, from major distributors to retailers;

the fourth module offers digital warehousing through modern supply chain integration (e-warehouse outlet management)

The fifth module offers stocktracking products at any point of the supply chain, from manufacturers to merchants

The sixth module focuses on digital warranty management and free insurance for consumers

The seventh module is trade communication, which includes product advertising and the immediate transfer of urgent information from manufacturers to retailers via internet platforms and social media

In the eighth module, brand owners can gather necessary information through a digital survey, soliciting feedback from customers and key supply chain stakeholders to improve their product quality or sales volume

The ninth module aims to prevent counterfeiting and unlawful commercial activities through effective management, with the support of the NBR, the government’s LEA, and relevant ministries.

The tenth module entails creating an e-commerce platform..

.. that meets international standards for legitimate products, accepts credit cards, and facilitates online transactions for customers. This platform will help both existing and new entrepreneurs launch effective AI-based business management, protecting all stakeholders’ interests.

In the eleventh module, establish the necessary number of support centers to ensure the successful installation and management of ‘a2z’.
